Art is something that brings fame to nations and countries and inspires people to do noble things. In this regard, modern artistes may get to the hearts of listeners through songs about the Motherland and people. At the contest, young people’s professional mastery, stage culture and artistic level of performance were evaluated on the basis of these criteria.

“Farghona has its own school of performance of classical songs. In the past few years, Nihol award winners precisely in the classical song nomination were Shahlo Rustamova, Gulsanam Mamazoitova, Anvar Ashurov and Gulruh Otaqulova,” says the chief of the regional directorate for culture and sports, Ikrom Jaliilov.

At the regional stage of this year’s contest, winners were determined and given the right to participate in the republican stage of the contest.
