The Pakhlavon sports complex in Namangan city hosted the 1st International Grand Prix Tournament of Uzbek Heroes among adults in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.

The tournament was organized to popularize wrestling in Uzbekistan, strengthen friendly ties between the CIS states and neighboring countries, support gifted athletes, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to famous wrestlers from Uzbekistan, athletes from Russia, Dagestan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Belarus also participated in the competition.

The tournament winners were awarded diplomas, medals, and cash prizes from the organizers.
