A five-day Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair in China was attended by representatives of governments, embassies and consulates accredited in China, chambers of commerce and companies from 23 countries, including Uzbekistan.

“Products imbued with the unique culture of Uzbekistan are in great demand at the fair. I saw great potential for our products in the Chinese market”, says exhibition participant Asilbek Khonkhojayev, who presented scarves, carpets, and ceramic products from Uzbekistan at the fair.

Asilbek Khonkhojayev has lived in China for seven years and is a regional manager and partner at ASIYA International Trading. The company specializes in selling traditional Uzbek handicrafts. Its branches are located in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. The company plans to operate in the provinces of Gansu and Qinghai, Xinjiang Uyghur and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regions.
