The Uzbekistan Football Association has signed an agreement with one of the most prominent figures in world football in recent years – three-time FIFA World Cup participant, 2006 World Cup champion, and former captain of the Italian national team, Fabio Cannavaro.

According to the Association, the Italian specialist will prepare the national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Fabio Cannavaro’s coaching staff includes:

Eugenio Albarella – Assistant Coach (formerly worked with the Japan national team and clubs such as Juventus, Udinese, and Dinamo Zagreb);

Francesco Troise – Fitness Coach (previously worked with Benevento, Udinese, and Dinamo Zagreb);

Antonio Chimenti – Goalkeeping Coach (worked with Italy’s youth national team, Sampdoria, and Spal).
