Extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO
As reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on September 20, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov took part in an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, in New York.
As reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on September 20, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov took part in an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, in New York.At the first meeting after the SCO summit in Astana chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi, heads of the foreign affairs agencies of India Sushma Swaraj, Kazakhstan – Kairat Abdrakhmanov, Kyrgyzstan – Erlan Abdyldaev, Pakistan – Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Russia – Sergei Lavrov, Tajikistan – Sirojiddin Aslov and Uzbekistan – Abdulaziz Kamilov discussed the priority areas of the SCO development in the context of joining of India and Pakistan into the organization as full members. Views were exchanged on relevant aspects of international and regional policy.
The ministers also considered prospects of strengthening interaction of the SCO with the UN and other multilateral associations.
Following the meeting, an information message and a number of decisions of the CMFA on issues of current activities of the organization, were adopted.
