A virtual meeting of the Expert Group on the implementation of the roadmap of the SCO member states on the gradual increase in the share of national currencies in mutual settlements took place.

The event was attended by representatives of the ministries of finance, economy, national (central) banks of relevant member states and the SCO Secretariat.

At the meeting, the parties approved the Regulations on the Expert Group and discussed the schedule of joint events for 2023.

The roadmap for a gradual increase in the share of national currencies in mutual settlements was approved by the decision of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO Member States in September 2022, in Samarkand. The document is aimed at creating conditions for the functioning of the system and stimulating mutual settlements in national currencies between the SCO member states.
