Experts note the relevance of the Samarkand Initiative
During the International Conference, “Samarkand SCO Summit: Contribution to regional and international security, sustainable development”, which is taking place in Tashkent, Director of the IIS Center for East Asia and SCO Studies at MGIMO University of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukin emphasized the relevance of the Samarkand Initiative.
As the expert noted, in modern conditions, when the world is in a difficult situation, the Samarkand Initiative is of particular relevance.
According to the Russian expert, today the activities of the SCO are global and this aspect contributes to the involvement of all interested parties who are not indifferent to the future development in interaction with the Organization.
Welcoming the results of the Samarkand Summit, Alexander Lukin considers it necessary to develop a mechanism for the practical implementation of the global dialogue as soon as possible. In this regard, close joint expert work of the think tanks of the SCO countries will be of great importance.
