The meeting of the candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Movement of the Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with Tashkent city voters continues.

It was announced that major projects for the development of the municipal sphere will be implemented in Tashkent.

“This year we have started to attract private management companies to manage apartment buildings. This experience has yielded positive results in Yunusabad district. In the next five years, private management companies will provide services to apartment buildings and social facilities located in adjacent territories based on contracts. The improvement of internal territories will also be entrusted to these companies. To prevent the increase of prices for services and to protect the population from unnecessary costs, the costs associated with landscaping will be reimbursed from the budget”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Investments for 185 million euros will be directed to the project to improve the provision of drinking water in Tashkent. Due to this, the coverage of centralized drinking water in Tashkent will be increased from the current 95 percent to 100 percent.

Salar and Bektemir wastewater treatment facilities will be moved outside the city, a modern water treatment facility with a capacity of one million cubic meters per day will be built.

Due to investments of $37 million, Bozsu and Kadiriya wastewater and drinking water facilities will also be provided with modern equipment and inventory.

In addition, a program will be adopted to restore the city's rain and drainage water network. All green zones will be irrigated at the expense of these sources.
