Exhibition of pearls of the Temurids era

The State Museum of the Temurids History, as part of the International Partnership Initiatives Week “New Uzbekistan: Development, Innovation and Enlightenment,” hosted the opening of the exhibition “Masterpieces of the Temurids’ era” and cultural events “Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan – the basis of the New Renaissance” took place.

At this exhibition, together with the unique items stored in the museum treasury, for the first time, the pearls of the Temurids era, which are stored in the funds of many museums of the country, are brought together and displayed, including in the Shakhrisabz State Museum-Reserve of Kashkadarya region, Samarkand State Museum-Reserve, Bukhara State Museum-Reserve, State Museum of History and Culture of Fergana Region.

The exhibition demonstrates examples of architectural decorations that testify to the high development of architecture and urban planning under the auspices of Amir Temur and the Temurids, pottery and metal chasing, which are important branches of the Mawarannahr craft, preserved rare manuscripts of the Temurids era – examples of written culture and book art that have come down to our days, examples of diplomatic correspondence and donation (waqf) documents, copper and silver coins testifying to the economic development and monetary policy of the state of Amir Temur and the Temurids, as well as weapons reflecting the military art of the era of the great ancestor.
