Employees of Namangan branch of Asakabank visited the Akhsikent monument.

2100 years ago, the city of Fergana (the capital of Fergana state, mentioned in Chinese and early Arabic sources) was located on this site. The state itself consisted of a union of several independent states, and its political system was confederate.

It is scientifically proven that until the middle of the XI century, Fergana was called Fergana and Akhsikat. During this period, the city was a megalopolis, its area exceeded 400 hectares.

The visit to the archaeological site made a great impression on the visitors.
