Everyone is actively participating in improvement work in Termiz city
A month of improvement and tidiness that began in the run-up to the 25th anniversary of the country’s independence is being conducted at a high level in Surkhondaryo Region, southern Uzbekistan, as well.
A month of improvement and tidiness that began in the run-up to the 25th anniversary of the country’s independence is being conducted at a high level in Surkhondaryo Region, southern Uzbekistan, as well.As part of the month’s campaign, neighborhoods and villages as well as areas around organizations, enterprises and establishments, houses and holy sites are being tidied, and streets, avenues and ditches are being cleaned. The Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution dated 10 August 2016 serves to expand the scale of the work in this sphere.
“It is an ancient feature characteristic of our people to tidy and improve streets and houses on the eve of holidays. Thanks to independence, our national values were restored. This made it possible to see the greatest and dearest holiday in with great joy and in cleanliness and to laud free and prosperous life. All this is an important factor in conducting the month of improvement and tidiness with lifted spirits and in a coordinated manner,” says Orol Toshboyev, the chairman of the regional department of the Mahalla public charity foundation.
Everyone, old and young people, are actively participating in work to improve and tidy neighbourhoods and areas around houses in Termiz town.
In turning the regional centre into an even better and tidy territory, active people of neighbourhoods, house owners’ societies, the landscaping directorate and young volunteers from organizations, enterprises and establishments are tidying up surrounding areas. Rubbish is being taken out to designated areas. Worn-out playground equipment and paths in front of multi-storey buildings are being repaired, and improvement work is in progress at detached houses, streets, gardens and avenues. Street lights are being replaced with new ones.
“Our free country is becoming even better with this large-scale construction and improvement work being carried out on the eve of the 25th anniversary of our Motherland’s independence,” says Chori Pundiyev, the chairman of the Orasta neighbourhood in the town of Termiz.
The month of improvement and tidiness is in full swing in all the districts, neighbourhoods and villages of the region. Special preparations are being made in localities for nationwide voluntary charity work scheduled for 20-21 August. For this purpose, working groups have been set up, and measures have been mapped out to properly encourage sponsor organizations, economic entities and active neighbourhoods.
Special attention is being paid to clear building work refuse from newly-built facilities, service points, children’s sports grounds and other buildings and to landscaping work.
