The delegation led by the Rapporteur of the European Parliament on Uzbekistan Ilhan Kyuchyuk visited Samarkand.

The guests got acquainted with the activities of industrial enterprises established in the region jointly with the EU countries. They also visited holy places and historical monuments of Samarkand.

At a meeting with the Hokim of the region Erkinjon Turdimov, it was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union are strengthening every year. Trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties are becoming beneficial for both sides.

The parties discussed the further development of trade, economic and cultural relations with the European Union, and the strengthening of cooperation in tourism, educational and social spheres.
