Today, the 10th European Film Festival opens in Termez. As part of the event, film enthusiasts will be presented with the Lithuanian film “Decadent No. 2419”, Austria’s “Queen of the Ring”, and the French production “Divertissement”.

On this occasion, a press conference was held at the City Press House, attended by media representatives, bloggers, public organizations, and the festival’s partners.

At the event, the European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar, spoke in detail about the significance of the festival, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, as well as the development of cultural ties between peoples and the strengthening of friendship.

During the press conference, participants’ questions were answered in detail, and the Greek film “Roza of Smyrna”, directed by George Kordellas, was screened.

The festival is organized jointly by the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan and the embassies of EU member states accredited in the country, with the support of the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency.
