Tashkent hosted Europe Day Festival as part of the events organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan.

About 40 projects implemented in Uzbekistan were presented at the festival.  The projects are funded by the European Union and the Europe Team. The festival was attended by more than 5 thousand people, which made it the most significant event in recent years, demonstrating the support of Uzbekistan by the European Union.

The event includes projects on such vital areas of EU – Uzbekistan cooperation as climate change and sustainability in Central Asia, including the Aral Sea region, strengthening the values of civil society, communities, and authorities to promote gender equality and women’s rights in Uzbekistan, the development of solid waste recycling systems, Erasmus+ educational programs, activities for the development of agriculture and the provision of public services and others.

The festival, held in the Botanical Garden, also included an entertainment part for the general public. The guests enjoyed the performances of Uzbek pop stars, flash mobs, masterclasses, creative and sports events, and dance zones, creating a particular mood.
