The III Eurasian International Book Fair in Astana (Kazakhstan) continues. Meetings with famous writers and poets, cultural figures, and events on promoting reading are being organized within its framework.The National Pavilion of Uzbekistan is of great interest to exhibitors and visitors. Round table discussion on “Supporting publishing activities by the state: privileges and preferences, modern methods of reading books and reading propaganda (on the example of the educational complex “Kitob olami”), as well as a presentation on “Creative heritage of the great Kazakh writer Abay Kunanbayev” on the basis of a collection of poems “Ulan”, published in 2018 by publishing and printing house “Chulpon” of the Press and Information Agency of Uzbekistan were held here.
At the conference hall of the exhibition center “Korme”, on the request of the Kazakh side, a practical conversation was organized on “The essence and significance of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the program of complex measures for development of the system of publishing and distribution of book products, improving the reading culture” of September 13, 2017.
