EU program courses for the implementation of LEICA

At the current stage of global development, the main attention is paid to law enforcement agencies, which are the mainstay of governments in ensuring internal security in all countries, maintaining peace and stability in the country.

On March 28-April 1 this year in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on behalf of the CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat of Central Asia, the National Coordinator of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Otabek Kasimov participates as an observer in the EU program “Courses on the on-the-spot inquiry into chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive events” for the implementation of the EU Strategy LEICA to help strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies in Central Asia.

The event is attended by the authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic authorized to conduct on-site inquiries into incidents involving chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive substances. The State Committee for National Security, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Health, prosecutors and others are among them.

According to the Press Service of the State Committee for Industrial Safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the LEICA program aims to provide technical assistance and thematic trainings based on an in-depth analysis of regional problems to strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies in Central Asia for ensuring security at the national and regional levels.
