At 8.00 a.m., the voting process began at 1111 polling stations in the 7th Samarkand Electoral District for the Election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Voting is taking place in accordance with the requirements of the Election Code.

The total number of voters in the district is 2,194,392 people. 151,676 people are participating in the elections for the first time.

Samarkand region’s Hokim Erkinjon Turdimov and heads of the second and fourth sectors were among the first voters at polling station No.144 in the region.

“The Presidential elections are a political process that determines the further development of our country and well-being of the people”, says E. Turdimov. – Participation in the elections is a constitutional right of each of us, our duty to the family and the people.
