On the regulation.gov.uz portal, a draft resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to eliminate barriers that have a negative impact on the business environment and the further expansion of areas of entrepreneurial activity” has been submitted for public discussion.

According to the draft document, based on the experience of foreign countries, it is planned to give permission to private entrepreneurs to provide currency exchange services to prevent unofficial foreign exchange transactions, create opportunities for the provision of continuous services (24/7).

Along with this, it is envisaged to create opportunities for business entities engaged in the provision of financial services to enter the credit association services market.

Private medical institutions will be permitted to carry out medical examinations of drivers and candidates for driver positions to create conditions for equal competition.

Discussion of the draft resolution will continue until December 31.
