On January 6, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with UNICEF will hold a roundtable discussion on the protection of vulnerable children.

The event is aimed at summing up achievements and lessons learned in preventing adolescents from being institutionalized and ensuring proper reintegration into their families and communities.

The results of the analysis and conclusions of parliamentary control will be presented as part of the implementation of the Presidential Resolution of May 29, 2019 “On the radical improvement of the activities of specialized educational institutions” and other key regulatory acts related to the prevention of delinquency among minors.

Following the discussions, recommendations will be developed for further work in this sphere.
