As is known, an important political event will soon take place in Uzbekistan – Early Presidential Elections. It is important to organize this event by the electoral legislation and to carry out all organizational and preparatory work promptly.
Ensuring public order and security in polling places on election day is urgent. For this, the Central Election Commission and the relevant ministries and agencies are scheduled to carry out preparatory work.
In accordance with the CEC decision, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard are responsible for ensuring public order and security. The Ministry of Emergency Situations provides fire safety and protection for constituencies and precincts.

The protection of buildings and territories where constituencies and polling stations are located, and ballots and other documents are stored will be carried out in accordance with the duty schedule approved by the heads of the territorial departments of the National Guard and internal affairs bodies. To do this, the National Guard and internal affairs bodies need to attach responsible officials to all constituencies and precincts and familiarize them with the leaflet developed by the CEC.
On July 9, 2023 – Election Day – employees of the National Guard and internal affairs bodies must perform their official duties without entering the building where voting is held and without interfering with voters exercising their right to vote. Responsible employees are strictly prohibited from interfering in the work of election participants, voters, and observers, as well as in sealing, opening ballot boxes, and counting votes.
The organization of measures to ensure public order and security, fire safety and protection against emergencies in the prescribed manner will allow the upcoming important political event to be held at the proper level.
