An international workshop on “Planning the medium-term budget, program budgeting and inter-budgetary relations” was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

An international workshop on “Planning the medium-term budget, program budgeting and inter-budgetary relations” was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme, was attended by domestic and foreign practitioners, representatives of international financial organizations.

– The workshop will serve to develop the country’s financial sector at the level of time requirements, – said an expert of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan O.Ganiyev.

Introduction of completely new principles and mechanisms for planning the State budget, ensuring its profitability and transparency are considered important factors in the growth of our economy.

Following the workshop, it is planned to develop practical proposals of international financial institutions on further reforming the public financial management system in the country.
