The awarding ceremony of winners of the traditional republican competition “Eng ulug, eng aziz” (The greatest, the dearest), devoted to the 27th anniversary of Independence of Uzbekistan, was held in Tashkent.

The awarding ceremony of winners of the traditional republican competition “Eng ulug, eng aziz” (The greatest, the dearest), devoted to the 27th anniversary of Independence of Uzbekistan, was held in Tashkent. 

Traditionally, "Eng ulug, eng aziz" competition plays an important role in familiarizing people with samples of creativity dedicated to Uzbekistan, its independence, praising peaceful days. The creative project of the current year differs with embodiment of the good idea “You are precious to me, my dear Uzbekistan!”, with its focus on broadly propagandizing the essence and content of the Action Strategy on five priority development areas of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, the State Program "Year of supporting active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technologies".


About 2 thousand articles of nearly 300 journalists and writers were received at the republican stage of the competition.

More than 2 thousand creative workers took an active part in the competition from the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions, held from 6 to 16 August. About 200 writers, poets, journalists, artists and film masters were awarded by the organizers of the project.

The winners of “Eng ulug, eng aziz” competition were presented with certificates and memorable gifts.
