Bukhara hosted an international conference within the framework of the “Dialogue of Declarations” Forum, where theologians, practitioners, representatives of clergy from different countries exchanged views on issues of ensuring freedom of religion and interreligious dialogue.

ISRS Director Eldor Aripov, in his speech, focused on the process of liberalization and strengthening guarantees of the rights of believers. He noted that by the Strategy adopted in Uzbekistan, the religious policy has been revised.

According to him, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, putting the issue of ensuring religious freedoms of citizens at the forefront, initiated the adoption of a special resolution of the UN General Assembly “Enlightenment and Religious Tolerance”. The Resolution was adopted unanimously. 50 countries became its co-authors.

The initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, based on the observance of the ideas of tolerance, mutual respect and maintenance of peaceful coexistence, united the countries of the world. And as the ISRS head noted, today's forum is part of our work to implement the principles and provisions of this Resolution.
