Emirati Charitable Foundation to build a modern hospital in Nukus
An Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates and an Agreement on attracting technical assistance from Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in the implementation of social projects in Uzbekistan have been signed at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.
According to Uzbekistan MIFT, a modern Mother and Child hospital will be built in Nukus at the expense of grant funds from Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. The total cost of the project is $27 million.
The new hospital, designed for 100 patients, with unique design and technical equipment, will include prenatal and maternity wards, mother and newborn’s rooms, intensive care units for mothers and children, a surgical department, a hospital, outpatient and consultative diagnostic departments and laboratories.
Construction activities are underway. The new medical facility, equipped with the latest equipment, will significantly improve the quality of medical services provided to the population of the Aral Sea region.
