Festive greetings on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan to youth were read out by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva.

In the message it is emphasized that activities, started to fulfill hopes, aspirations, advanced ideas and initiatives of youth, not only continue, but also rise to a qualitatively new level.

First Deputy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Union Kakhramon Kuranbayev and Khokim of Tashkent city Jakhongir Artikhojayev noted that thanks to the attention and care of the Head of the state, today’s youth, having mastered modern knowledge, progress achievements, their practical work, energy and courage, become worthy sons and daughters of the homeland.

At the initiative of the Head of the state, Uzbekistan Youth Union was reorganized on June 30, 2017 in order to support young people, create a unified system of upbringing spiritually and physically healthy, intellectually developed, independently thinking young generation.

Over the past period, this new structure, contributing to an increase in the effectiveness of state policy, has become a real pillar of the country’s youth.

The number of members of the Youth Union has exceeded 7 million 680 thousand, and the children’s organization “Kamalak” – 3 million 600 thousand people.

Within the framework of dialogue with people held in the country, youth reception offices have been established, in which many problems have been solved over the past period on 16.5 thousand requests received.

“Youth – Our Future” Fund has so far provided preferential loans at the amount of 692 billion 400 million soums to those who want to start their own business, about 25 thousand new jobs have been created, 125 youth employment centers “Yoshlar mehnat guzari”, 19 coworking centers “Young entrepreneurs” were commissioned in the country.

Institute for the Study of Youth Problems and Training Promising Personnel was established at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Youth Union is actively involved in international activities. Last year a delegation of Uzbekistan Youth Union paid a visit to the People’s Republic of China and achieved a number of results. In particular, at the meeting of the SCO Youth Council, the Uzbekistan Youth Union was accepted as an equal member of this organization.

“Mard uglon” (Courageous son) State Award and “Kelajak bunyodkori” (Creator of the future) medal have been established to support youth, encourage young people who work effectively in various fields, serving as an example to their peers by their achievements.

Last year, hundreds of young people who demonstrated their potential and firm civic position were awarded “Dustlik” (Friendship) orders, “Shukhrat” (Glory) and “Kelajak bunyodkori” (Creator of the future) medals, the State Prize named after Zulfiya, “Uzbekiston belgisi” chest badges, as well as Uzbekistan Youth Union’s Award. 28 enterprising, talented young men who have distinguished themselves in various fields have become winners of the first established “Mard uglon” State Award. It is gratifying that today as many young men joined their ranks.

A concert with participation of famous masters of art and creative youth was held at the event.
