On December 22, 2020, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Beijing took part in the official ceremony of handing over permit forms under the Agreement between the governments of the SCO member states on creating favorable conditions for international road transport.

Representatives of the diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Russia also took part in the event, organized by the Ministry of Transport of China. 

It was noted that the practical implementation of the Agreement is intended to give an additional impetus to the development of trade, construction of new and reconstruction of existing sections of highways in the system of international transport routes. This will also contribute to further advancement of interaction between the member states of the organization within the framework of formation of an extensive system of transport routes in the SCO region.

Representatives of Uzbekistan focused on the efforts made in recent years to actively develop the transport and transit potential of the country, to form an effective, multivariate system of land communications in the region.
