Acting Assistant Secretary for Global Public Affairs of the U.S. Department of State Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau has arrived in Uzbekistan.

She will also visit Nepal, the United Arab Emirates and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the U.S. Department of State, such issues as all-round support for the Afghan people, social equality, freedom of the media, and climate change will be discussed. In Uzbekistan, Elizabeth Trudeau will deliver a speech at the Webster University in Tashkent for the graduates of the “English for Professional Journalists” course, take part in a roundtable discussion with representatives of non-governmental organizations, and get acquainted with the conditions created for women in Jizzakh region.
