Elections began in Samarkand

Today, an important political process – the Early Presidential Election – started in Uzbekistan.

1112 polling stations in the 7th Samarkand Electoral District territory also opened their doors for voters at 8:00 am. The total number of voters in the district is more than 2 million 94 thousand people. Among them, 760 young people will participate in the election for the first time and use the opportunity to vote.

As previously reported, from June 28 to July 5, advance polling took place for Uzbekistan Presidential Election. About 92,000 citizens voted early in Samarkand region.

Today, the Hokim of Samarkand region, E. Turdimov, went to polling station No. 144 and was among the first to vote.

2877 citizens living in “Bagdad”, “Orzu”, and “Rahmatabad” mahallas of the city will vote in this polling station. 27 of them are participating in the election for the first time. 67 citizens voted early in the polling station. 40 citizens applied to the commission to vote from their residences today.
