The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held talks with Zsuzsanna Hargitai, Managing Director for Central Asia of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Current investment projects involving the EBRD’s participation and further development of cooperation were discussed. Organizational issues of preparing and holding, jointly with the EBRD, the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for early May, were agreed upon.

The EBRD’s portfolio includes 16 completed projects worth 391.3 million euros in water supply and wastewater treatment, energy, district heating, transport, and support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as 15 ongoing projects worth 3 billion euros. There are 8 projects worth 815 million euros in development in water supply, education, energy, road reconstruction, transport, and solid waste management.
