This was stated by the Minister of Preschool Education of Uzbekistan Agrippina Shin during a speech at UNESCO’s World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education, in Tashkent.
The Minister also noted that early development and education are, without exaggeration, one of the main priorities of the state policy of Uzbekistan.
“Since 2017, since the establishment of the Ministry of Preschool Education, we have managed to increase the coverage of preschool education for children from 27 to 70 percent. Currently, more than 2 million preschoolers can attend kindergartens”.
It was emphasized that the Tashkent Declaration would be adopted as a result of this conference, which will lay a new page in the early development strategy and determine the international agenda in preschool education for the next decade.
It should be noted that the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education is a logical continuation of the UN Transforming Education Summit, which was held in September this year in New York.
