Scientific and educational exhibition “Education in Kazakhstan” is being held at Samarkand State University.

Presentations on educational areas and specialties of 15 higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan such as the University of Turan, South Kazakhstan, Almaty, Karaganda State Universities, the Institute of Mining are being held within the framework of the exhibition.

– To date, about 4 thousand representatives of Uzbekistan’s youth are studying in higher education institutions of Kazakhstan, – said representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Z.Turebekova. – In connection with announcement of the Year of Uzbekistan in our country, President Nursultan Nazarbayev decided to allocate grants for another 10 thousand students from Uzbekistan. Before coming here, we visited Navoi region and signed a memorandum with Navoi State Mining Institute. It is also planned to establish cooperation with Samarkand universities.

Participants of the event also watched the documentary film “Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan: the beginning of the big way”.

The exhibition will last until May 20.
