Inspector of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lazizbek Khasanov, has become a laureate of the prestigious International Ranger Awards for dedicated service in combating illegal logging and poaching.

The award ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, within the framework of the IUCN World Conservation Congress.

The competition, organized by the World Commission on Protected Areas with the support of Conservation Allies, the Universal Ranger Support Alliance, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature, brought together 319 specialists from 56 countries. As a result, six individual rangers and seven teams received awards.
