Eco-city construction starts in Fergana
The construction of an eco-city has begun in the citizens’ assembly of Ilgor mahalla of the city of Fergana.
The number of local and foreign investors willing to participate in its construction is growing day by day.
A new canal is being built here to normalize the city’s climate and provide it with water. The waterway over 10 kilometers long will be filled with water from the Shodiyeva Canal in Fergana district. This canal will provide water to the New Uzbekistan Park, which will be created on an area of 70 hectares within this town. Currently, active work is underway with the participation of powerful equipment and builders.
The town with a total area of 300 hectares is intended for 40 thousand people. It is planned to create over 20 thousand jobs in the city and the small industrial zone in the adjacent territory.
