13:30 / 2024-10-21

For citizens of Uzbekistan living in the United States, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington organized mobile points for early voting in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Voting is carried out in accordance with the procedure established by the Election Code of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan citizens who participated in the voting process, especially the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation scholarship holders, demonstrated their sincere desire to fulfill their civic duty and once again showed that they care about the country’s future.

During the voting, voters were told that these parliamentary elections are held based on a majoritarian-proportional system, which creates broad opportunities for increasing the effectiveness of political parties and strengthening the role of democratic institutions in the country.

Active compatriots who took part in the event spoke out and emphasized that such political events serve to unite Uzbeks abroad, promote the traditions and historical heritage of Uzbek people among young people, increase the young generation’s sense of love for their homeland, and disseminate the rich scientific and spiritual heritage of the country in the United States.

Uzbekistan citizens emphasized that participation in the elections is their civic duty, and by voting, they want to contribute to the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan.

Citizens were also provided consultations on consular and legal issues, and answers were given to their questions.
