Early voting begins

Active preparations are continuing for the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, regional, district, and city Councils of People’s Deputies, to be held in Uzbekistan.

Early voting began at polling stations on October 16.

According to the legislation, voters who cannot stay at their place of residence on election day can vote early. Early voting begins ten days before the election and ends three days before the election.

The voter applies to the relevant precinct election commission with a statement indicating the reasons for non-appearance on election day.

On early voting days, voting time at polling stations is from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 11:00 to 17:00 on weekends.

Early voting at polling stations established at diplomatic and other representative offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries is held from 9:00 to 18:00 local time in the country where these polling stations are located.

It should be noted that early voting ends on October 23, 2024.
