Preparations are in full swing for an important political process – Early Presidential Elections, which will be held in Uzbekistan on July 9 this year.
By the legislation on elections, precinct election commissions draw up a list of voters and acquaint citizens with it.
The procedure for compiling voter lists is reflected in Article 27 of the Election Code. According to this article, the list of voters includes the names of citizens who have reached the age of eighteen by the day or on the day of the election, permanently or temporarily residing at the time of compiling the list in the territory of this polling station.
It should be noted that each voter can only be included in one voter list. This list consists of the last name, first name, patronymic, date of birth, and address of the place of residence of each voter.
Voter lists are compiled based on the data from the information system for forming the Unified Electronic Voter List.
Lists of service members who are in military units, as well as members of families of servicemen and other voters if they live in areas where military units are located, are compiled based on the data provided by the commanders of military units. Service members residing outside military units are included in the voters’ lists at their place of residence on a general basis.
Voter lists for polling stations formed in sanatoriums, hospitals, and other inpatient medical institutions, places of detention, and deprivation of liberty, are compiled based on the data provided by the heads of these institutions.
