Dushanbe prepares for two major international summits

In particular, the Director of the Center for Foreign Policy Studies and International Initiatives under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Sanjar Valiyev addressed the Uzbekistan – Russia roundtable discussion in Tashkent.

During the discussion, the expert outlined the key vectors of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia within the framework of international and regional organizations.

Special attention was paid to the upcoming Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Russia, to be held in Dushanbe, as well as the Meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State. These events are recognized as significant milestones for enhancing multilateral cooperation.

Key points of the speech: the importance of the CIS as a regulatory-legal matrix and a source of standards for inter-sectoral cooperation was emphasized; the potential of the Eurasian Economic Union, where Uzbekistan participates as an active observer, was noted, which allows for a deeper understanding of integration processes; the development of the Central Asia – Russia format as the most convenient platform for the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects of regional importance and cooperation in new areas of future technologies was supported; the importance of the SCO as a platform for maintaining stability and developing collaboration across the vast expanse of the Eurasian continent was highlighted.
