Dubai changes entry rules for Uzbekistan and Tajikistan tourists
Dubai authorities have tightened the rules for entering the UAE for travelers from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The updated requirements are contained on the websites of several airlines, including Emirates, Flydubai and Uzbekistan Airways.
According to the new rules, tourists from these Central Asian countries are required to present a negative PCR test result for COVID-19, made no earlier than 48 hours before the flight departure (and not 72 hours, as it was before), to board the flight. The rules are already in effect.
After arriving at Dubai and Sharjah airports, passengers are also required to take a PCR test and self-isolate until the result is received. It is noted that the new requirements were introduced due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation in both countries and the detection of the Omicron strain.
