China hosts the Innovation Alliance Summit – Scientific Technology and Innovation Workshop of Shanghai and Central Asian countries. Representatives of the Development Strategy Center are attending the summit.
Following the Summit, a Joint Statement on development of scientific and technical cooperation between research and analytical centers of China and Central Asian countries in the field of innovation, science and technologies was signed. In particular, agreements were reached on full support of relevant state bodies, promotion of pragmatic cooperation in humanitarian exchanges, joint construction of laboratories, cooperation in technology parks, technology transfer, as well as creation of a Community of scientific and technology innovations on issues of equality, mutual benefit, cooperation and mutually beneficial development.
Taking into account the relevance of introduction of innovative technologies within the framework of Development Strategy of Uzbekistan until 2021, the Chinese side expressed its readiness to support the reforms of innovative development of the country. In particular, the Development Strategy Center and the Shanghai Center of Science and Technology have agreed to establish the first Uzbekistan – China Innovation Center in Uzbekistan. In addition, they agreed on provision of systematic consultations, organization of special international training and education in leading research and innovation centers of Shanghai city in order to facilitate the exchange between talented youth in science and technology industry.
