The World Games are taking place these days in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. Uzbekistan’s karateka Dostonbek Otabolayev won the first medal at the championships.

Otabolayev, who competed in the weight category up to 75 kg, successfully passed the group stage and lost to the Ukrainian Stanislav Horuna in the semifinals. In the fight for the bronze medal, he defeated the American Thomas Scott and took third place.
