Dutch-based early-stage venture capital fund DOMiNO Ventures has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IT Park.
As part of the memorandum, DOMiNO Ventures plans to explore and contribute to Uzbekistan’s innovation ecosystem this year in partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the fund stressed that Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing technology sector provides excellent opportunities and makes it an attractive investment market. They also noted the region’s potential and announced their intention to invest in 5 technology startups in Uzbekistan in 2024 and actively support them, helping them enter international markets, strengthen their positions in the global innovation arena, and organize various project development programs for them.
DOMiNO Ventures operates in 8 countries with an operational team based in İstanbul, Türkiye, and has more than 50 global and local partners. Thanks to the fund’s expansion strategy, its team is actively involved in various events, particularly in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. In the last two quarters alone, DOMiNO Ventures has analyzed and reviewed 1,000 startups from the region, which indicates its commitment to identifying and supporting promising entrepreneurs.
