The Uzbekistan national team is successfully participating in the 2024 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships, which is being held in Doha.

Young weightlifters from 20 countries are competing for the victory.

Zulfiya Ramazanova, who competed among juniors, became a bronze medalist in the snatch, scoring 83 kg. Among the youth, Ziyoda Khudoykulova scored 92 kg in the snatch and was awarded a silver medal.

Diyorbek Ruzmetov, who competed in the -67 kg weight category in group A, lifted 140 kg in the snatch, 170 kg in the clean and jerk, and 310 kg in the overall and won silver medals in all three disciplines.

The Uzbekistan national team won three gold, six silver, and two bronze medals.

Bekhruzbek Ganjaboyev, Abdulaziz Alimjonov and Boburmirzo Yokubov in the 73 kg weight category, Jamshidbek Ruzimboyev, Hasanboy Berdiyev and Nigora Suvonova in the 81 kg weight category, Gulshodakhon Dadamirzayeva in the 76 kg weight category, Nodirbek Jurayev and Bekzod Gofurjonov in the 89 kg weight category will compete for the victory today.

The competition will run until December 25.
