As part of the Budapest World Championships, the International Judo Federation announced the holding of elections to the Athletes' Commission (IJF).

Paris 2024 Summer Olympics winner, Uzbekistan’s Diyora Keldiyorova, as well as D. Bilodid (Ukraine), R. Haga (Japan), N. Kas (Australia), and K. Quadros (Brazil) are among the candidates.

The elections have already started, and accredited experts and commission members are voting for candidates.

The voting results will be announced after the championships.
