An open dialogue dedicated to the discussion of the Draft Constitutional Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was held in Jizzakh City Hokimiyat.

At the event, the head of the city K. Kholmuradov, deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis M.Tirkasheva and others talked about the essence and significance of the amendments and additions to the Basic Law.

As it was noted, the process of constitutional reforms has reached the stage of heated debate. The speakers stressed that over the past period, fundamental changes have taken place in the political, socio-economic and cultural life of society, the systematic work of the Constitutional Commission has been established to accept opinions and proposals from the population.

During the discussions, special attention was paid to amendments concerning guarantees of citizens’ rights to qualified medical care, strengthening constitutional mechanisms to ensure the rights to a healthy natural environment, high-quality cultural, household, commercial services and the provision of other services.
