On the eve of the 4th International Sculpture Symposium, a meeting took place at the Creative Union of Artists to discuss the projects aimed at the symposium.

The participants exchanged views on the authors’ works, their artistic solutions, and creative approach.

For the first time, the symposium was held in Samarkand in preparation for the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.  It was attended by 14 sculptors, seven each from foreign countries and Uzbekistan.

This year, the symposium will be organized jointly with the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Almost 300 projects submitted for the upcoming symposium were reviewed at the meeting. 178 sculptors from 53 countries applied for participation.
