People in Uzbekistan will have five days off on Navruz holiday to travel around the country.

Benefits are provided when using the services of railway transport, tourist routes are expanded. It is also planned to hold various cultural events.

At the initiative of Samarkand Regional Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, hotels, guest houses, tourist transport services, catering points in Samarkand region will provide discounts on holidays: up to 20 percent – for accommodation, up to 22 percent – in catering points and up to 35 percent – for tourism services.

On March 18, Samarkand will host Shish Kebab Festival. On March 19, the Ulak-Kupkari competition will take place in the Jambay district. Festive events will be organized in Central Park named after Alisher Navoi.
