The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo has established a constant dialogue with the Embassy of Japan in Tashkent to discuss the state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.

Virtualk talks have been held between Ambassador Gayrat Fazilov and Ambassador Yoshinori Fujiyama.

At the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in further enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral cooperation, which was given a powerful impetus by the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019.

The parties discussed the state of implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit, the progress in development of joint bilateral projects, a number of events planned for the coming months. Views were exchanged on the possibilities of further building up cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, especially in trade, economic, financial, technical and investment areas.

An agreement was reached on the joint study of all bilateral measures aimed at strengthening the dynamics of relations between the two countries.
