On July 6-8, 2022, Lahore is hosting an International Conference on “The significance of the Belt & Road Initiative in Regional Connectivity”, jointly organized by the University of Punjab and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan.
The scientists, representatives of state and non-governmental organizations, and diplomatic corps from 15 countries are attending the conference.
Rector of Diplomat University from Uzbekistan took part with his speech on the significance of the Belt & Road Initiative in regional connectivity and the role and place of Uzbekistan in its realization.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to enhance cooperation in education and science within the conference.
The University of Punjab was founded in 1882 and is the country’s first university and one of the leading universities of higher education and science in Pakistan. It ranks 800th place in the QS World University Rankings. The University has trained 3 Nobel Laureates.
The Diplomat University is a private university, and in December 2021, the license to conduct higher education activities has been received by the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Currently, it is aimed to teach in the fields of Economics and Information Technology. Simultaneously, the University is on the eve of establishing education directions in International Relations, Business Administration, English, Arabic, and Chinese languages. In a short space of time, Diplomat University has signed the Memorandum of Understandings with prestigious universities around the world. Specifically, Saint Petersburg University, Kazan Federal University, Eötvös Loránd University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Istanbul Ticaret University, Tehran University, Kyungsung University of the Republic of Korea, Liaoning Normal University of China, Helwan University of Egypt, Belarusian State University, Universitas Islam Malang of Indonesia, Balkh University, International University of Kyrgyzstan. The Diplomat University exchanged experience in the development of curriculums and programs with the universities mentioned above.
At the same time, it is planned to provide opportunities for practice and internships for future university students at these universities.
