A ceremony of giving diplomas and military ranks to regular graduates has taken place at the Chirchiq higher tank command engineering school.

Representatives from the Defence Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the public council at the ministry, state and public organizations, graduates and their family members attended the event held on this occasion.

It has been emphasized especially that consistent reforms being conducted under the leadership of Islam Karimov, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of its Armed Forces, in such areas as training qualified military personnel and forming the country’s national army capable of ensuring the homeland’s sovereignty, the inviolability of its borders and the people’s peace and calm are giving great results.

At the Chirchiq higher tank command engineering school too, military personnel with modern ways of thinking who have extensive knowledge, broad perspectives, high professionalism and morals and who are capable of carrying out tasks in conditions of modern warfare are being trained.

“Today one of my biggest dreams was realized, and I became an officer,” says Umidjon Holidjonov from Oltiariq District of Farghona Region, the east of the country.

Those who gathered at the event were very much impressed by a concert by artistes and a performance by students.
