Tashkent hosted a press conference on “Digitalization of water management and expanding the introduction of water-saving technologies”.
Within the framework of the project, Smart Water devices are installed at 61 water objects allowing online monitoring of water resources, 15 small weather stations for online weather monitoring, and video surveillance cameras for visual monitoring of the situation at places.
In collaboration with local manufacturing companies, Smart Water devices have been installed at 87 water management facilities across the country, enabling online monitoring of water resources.
Work is also underway to digitalize the land reclamation system. In particular, 66 reclamation wells in Khorezm region, 12 wells in Karakalpakstan and 25 wells in Bukhara region equipped with automatic Diver system are involved. As a result, it became possible to observe the level of ground water and its mineralization.
Work is consistently continuing to bring the areas covered by water-saving technologies to 2 million hectares, including drip irrigation technology – up to 600 thousand hectares.
